The City has begun building a permanent dog park at the north end of Heather Farm Park. The dog park will be fenced to allow dogs to play off-leash. It will be fully accessible and have segregated areas for small/senior dogs and large dogs. Parking and restrooms will be available nearby.

The dog park will officially open Saturday, Nov. 17. An opening day event will begin at 10 a.m.

WCDOG, or Walnut Creek Dog Owners’ Group, is an organization that advocates responsible dog ownership, supports off-leash dog exercise, and serves as a local educational resource to the community.
